Dear Mom,
Thank you for all that you have taught me.

I cannot begin to thank you for all of the wonderful things you have done for me over the years. When I was small
you wiped away my tears and celebrated my achievements.

You were always there, encouraging me to take my first steps, my first words and holding my hand and comforting me through my first mistakes. 

As I grew you were still with me. Through school and all of its highs and lows. Through my teenage years you guided me through some difficult times. Sometimes I didn't want you there, but you let me know that was OK too. I needed to find my own way.
But I knew you were never far behind.
Looking out for me. Perhaps I didn't appreciate it then, I thought I knew it all. But you knew that too! And let me learn life's lessons.

You have taught me to be a better person, to give and not always take.

Now that I have grown I want you to know that all those firsts, when you were there, meant so much to me. I don't know think I could have achieved everything I have and be where I am today without you.
